Horizon Coffee Station, near Huye Mountain in Kigoma, has flourished since Fdel took over in 2019. Initially met with scepticism as non-local owner, Horizon now employs 94 people, including 70% women. It processes cherries from 1200 nearby farmers, members of the ATP, with farms ranging from 100 to 7000 trees. Located at 1680 meters, surrounded by higher farms, Horizon produced 450 tons of cherry in 2019 and expects 1000 tons in 2022. They recycle cherry pulp into organic fertilizer, supporting sustainable farming practices.
